My Fire TV Stick gets disconnected from Wi-Fi every 10-15 minutes. While checking the connection status on the settings, it shows "Connected with Problems." How can I fix this error?
Hey @Vilma, the Firestick error message "connected with problems" is a common issue for many users. You can fix it easily, and it should take no more than two minutes.
1. First, check the signal strength of your WiFi network by navigating to Settings → Network, then press the Play/Pause button on your remote.
- If it shows "Poor," try bringing the router closer to the Firestick device. If your Firestick is already within range, try adjusting its position slightly. If the issue persists with the same error, contact your ISP to check for any issues with your connection.
- If it shows "Very Good," forget the WiFi network and reconnect.
2. The "connected with problems" error may also occur if your device is connected to multiple WiFi networks. In that case, go to the Network settings and ensure your device is connected to the desired network. If it is connected to a weak network, forget it and connect to a stronger one.
3. If you're using a VPN while streaming, the Kill Switch feature might block the WiFi connection. This can happen if there is an issue with the VPN server. Launch the VPN app you're using and connect to a different server. Alternatively, you can disable the VPN connection to resolve the issue.
4. If the problem continues, reset your Firestick to factory settings and start from scratch. After resetting, set up your Firestick and connect to a strong WiFi network to enjoy buffer-free streaming. If you're a Fire TV user, consider using Ethernet cables for a faster connection.
